The new Star Trek convention will land in Chicago next spring offering the chance to boldly explore the past, present, and future of the franchise.
Next April a new Star Trek convention will launch in the US and the first stop is Chicago. The debut convention, titled Star Trek: Mission Chicago, is being hosted by ReedPop, the distinguished convention organizers and the planet’s leading producer of pop culture events.
According to the official Star Trek website, “Star Trek: Mission Chicago will feature celebrity guests, interactive exhibits, exclusive merchandise, photo opportunities, costume exhibits, autograph sessions, gameplay, and other special surprises all set within the ever-evolving and expansive Star Trek Universe.”
Each year the convention will travel to a different city in the United States but the very first convention will take over Chicago’s McCormick Place Convention Center for three whole days from Friday, April 8, 2022, to Sunday, April 10, 2022.
ReedPop is now the official convention partner of the Star Trek franchise and Chicago will be their first outing as part of their first outing as the beloved franchise’s official organizers.
At the time of speaking, only Wil Wheaton, who played Wesley Crusher in Star Trek: The Next Generation, has been confirmed as a celebrity guest but stay tuned as more and more are announced.
Fans cannot currently purchase tickets, but the Star Trek: Mission Chicago website offers more information and fans can sign up for the official newsletter to stay up-to-date with all news about the convention.
