The Chicago Sky, our very own hometown women’s basketball team, pulled an incredible 28-point lead against the Las Vegas Aces in Tuesday’s game, winning by a landslide and stunning their competitors. It is now considered the largest turnaround in WBA history.
At the start of the game, the Aces were winning with a 24-5 lead. The Aces currently hold first place in the Western Conference and have the best record in the league thus far. This is why the surprising turnaround by the Chicago Sky proved to be such a shock and is now the biggest comeback in the WNBA.

In the end, the Chicago Sky emerged victorious with an historic 104-95 victory. This isn’t the first time the Sky turned a game around either. They previously held the largest comeback in WNBA history at a 25-point deficit in 2013. Now, they’ve usurped their own previously held title. Go team! The Aces and Sky will meet again in the Commissioner’s Cup championship in July in a bid to win the $500,000 total prize pool.
