Five North Shore school districts are among the top ten Best School Districts in America according to a ranking from school review site Niche.
Chicago’s North Shore tops the list
The survey compiled data on over 11,000 schools from the U.S. Department of Education, factoring in student and teacher reviews, test scores, graduation rates, and other indicators.
The list awarded each school a grade, A+ being the highest, based on overall academic performance, teacher quality, clubs, and sports.
Glenbrook High School District snagged the number 1 spot on the list, receiving a grade of A+ overall. The school district includes high schools in Glenview and Northbrook.
4 other local school districts made the top ten:
- New Trier Township High School District No. 203; Northfield, IL – A+
- Township High School District No. 113; Highland Park, IL – A+
- Community High School District 128; Vernon Hills – A+
- Hinsdale Township High School District No. 86; Hinsdale, IL – A+
