Where are the fireworks in Chicago for New Year’s Eve 2023?
The first place is Navy Pier! The iconic 300-foot-long pier on the shoreline of Lake Michigan will host its annual firework show over the lakefront. Even better, Navy Pier will have a fireworks show every Saturday in December. The address for Navy Pier is 600 E Grand Ave, Chicago, IL 60611
The second place is the Chicago Riverwalk. This year, a synchronized midnight fireworks display at ART on THE MART on the Chicago River!
What time are the New Year’s Eve fireworks?
On December 31st, the NYE fireworks at Navy Pier will occur at 11:50 PM.
Projections will begin at 7:30 pm and repeat until 11:55 pm before displaying a countdown to the New Year. A special New Year message will be displayed after the fireworks until 12:15 am.
Note: The Chicago River will be closed to boat traffic from Franklin to Columbus from 11:30 pm to 12:15 am.

No, the Navy Pier NYE fireworks show is free. However, you can purchase tickets to Offshore Rooftop’s New Year’s Eve Party if you want to head to Navy Pier first for an evening of twirling, swaying, and sipping drinks at an open bar.
