Chicago’s city-run farmers markets are back this month, courtesy of the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE).
From May 17 through October 30, Chicagoans can shop locally sourced produce, street food, artisanal goods, and more at five farmers markets across the city.
These markets play a key role in expanding food access—especially in historically underserved neighborhoods—while fostering community connection and engagement.

- Pullman Farmers Market – 11100 S. Cottage Grove Ave. | July 9 – October 29 | 7 a.m.–noon
- Daley Plaza Farmers Market – 50 W. Washington St. | May 22 – October 23 (closed June 19) | 7 a.m.–2 p.m.
- Austin Town Hall Farmers Market – 5610 W. Lake St. | June 12 – October 30 | 1–6 p.m.

The Maxwell Street Market is also making a return with six themed market days on the historic corridor. It all kicks off Sunday, May 18, with a Spring Garage Sale featuring a full day of shopping and live entertainment.
