It’s time for The Bucktown Arts Festival! Initially starting out in the early ’80s, when neighborhood artists gathered to showcase local work, the annual event is back for a full-scale event this weekend.
The volunteer-run fest plans to feature over 170 artists from across the Midwest. Painters, ceramicists, designers, photographers, and other artists will gather for the festival, selling their creations. From 11 AM to 7 PM, the festival is on Saturday and Sunday! Located in and around Senior Citizens Memorial Park, (2228 N. Oakley Ave.) the event is sure to be an exciting time.
As for the live entertainment? Attendees can expect performances from artists on two stages! One stage will feature jazz musicians and the other will showcase local bands and solo performers. Check out the full lineup here.
Regarding street closures, Lyndale Street, Oakley, and Belden Avenues will be closed around the main park area to hold additional booths and festival events like a kid-centric arts and crafts booth.
All proceeds from the event go to fund art programs in the neighborhood and the nearby Holstein Park. There will also be food trucks and drink booths along with the live performances.
Address: Holstein Park, 2200 N Oakley Ave, Chicago, IL 60647
