It’s the 41st year of lights and lagers.
ZooLights at Lincoln Park Zoo isn’t the only light show taking place at a formidable Illinois zoo this winter. Chicago Zoological Society’s Brookfield Zoo will be hosting its 41st Holiday Magic at their 216-acre zoo grounds from November 25th!
Said to be Chicagoland’s largest and longest-running lights festival, Holiday Magic will feature over two million twinkling LED lights and a multitude of awe-inspiring decorations across the park.
The 600-foot Tunnel of Lights, Game of Gnomes, 20-foot-lit orb, and the skating rink will all make a return this year along with the 2-mile stretch named Sea of Lights which debuted last year.
With the year-round residents tucked away safely indoors, the animal kingdom will instead be represented by some larger-than-life illuminated LED animal sculptures.
Of course, warm hot beverages like spiced wine and hot chocolate are available to keep all guests toasty warm as they wander through the festival of lights. For those who don’t need the extra warmth a range of beers and wines will also be on offer and the outdoor food stands will be selling seasonal specials including funnel cakes, praline nuts, and cinnamon sugar pretzels.
Holiday Magic will run from 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm Friday through Sunday, November 25-27; Wednesday through Sunday, November 30, December 1-4, 7-11, 14-18; Monday through Saturday, December 26-31
Tickets must be purchased in advance and cost $24.95 for adults, $19.95 for seniors, and $17.95 for children aged between 3 and 11.
