Boka Restaurant Group, the minds behind some of Chicago’s favorite dining institutions, have announced their latest venture, a new pizza concept coming to River North.
Zarella is slated to open at the corner of Grand and Wells early next year, according to Boka, in the former GT Fish and Oyster space.
The menu will diverge from the traditional Chicago pizza mold, spotlighting tavern-style and artisan pies instead of deep dish.
Pizza lovers can savor bold flavors like Spicy Vodka with Calabrian Chili and Carbonara with Pancetta and Egg.
For non-pizza lovers, Zarella will offer an array of entrées and appetizers, from Crab Stuffed Shrimp to Baked Feta and Crispy Calamari.
The restaurant will also feature a curated beverage program, featuring Italian-inspired cocktails, specialty wines, and draught beers.
With a warm mahogany-furnished dining room and an intimate lower-level taverna, Zarella promises a dining experience fit for every outing, from large gatherings to romantic date nights.
