The U.S. Navy Blue Angel jets will fly over Detroit, Chicago, and Indianapolis, tomorrow, May 12, as part of a national tour.
In honor of essential personal and healthcare workers on the frontlines, the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels will perform a flyover demonstration in the skies of Chicago tomorrow.
“We salute and thank all healthcare workers, first responders and other essential personnel serving on the front lines of the fight against COVID-19,” the organization announced in a tweet.
The Blue Angels have been on national tour, performing flyover demonstrations across the country over the cities such as Jacksonville, Miami, Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, New Orleans, as well as parts of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

While the Navy has yet to reveal a specific time for tomorrow’s scheduled aerial demonstration, as well as its specific fly-path, its Facebook page describes what viewers should expect to see:
“The Blue Angels’ C-130…begins each demonstration by exhibiting its maximum performance capabilities during a ten-minute performance.”
“Shortly thereafter, you will see the graceful aerobatic maneuvers of the four-jet Diamond Formation, in concert with the fast-paced, high-performance maneuvers of its two Solo pilots.”
“Finally, the team illustrates the pinnacle of precision flying, performing maneuvers locked as a unit in the renowned, six-jet Delta Formation.”
The Navy insists that viewers watch the acrobatic performance “from the safety of their home quarantine and should refrain from traveling to see the the flyover.” Specific details will be released later today.
