The season at the Honey Hill Orchard in Waterman, IL, starts in early September, with peak apple-picking season beginning in late September and continuing throughout October.
In addition to over two dozen varieties of apples, visitors can also pick raspberries and pumpkins during the Harvest Season from September 7th through October 31st. Stop by to pick your own fruits and vegetables, and don’t forget to grab some pure honey and 100% raw cider while you’re there!

2. Royal Oak Farm Orchard
There are so many things to do at least once in Chicago, and traveling to Royal Oak Farm in Harvard is one of them. The farm is literally a bakery, a gift shop, and home to the only apple maze in the country. Over 160 acres wide, the 4-orchard farm boasts over 20,000 apple trees with 30 different varieties.
