Two well-known Chicago-area staples, Oberweis Ice Cream and Giordano’s, are teaming up to open a new ice cream “scoop shop.”
According to the Chicago Tribune, the shop will be located inside the Giordano’s restaurant in downtown Naperville, marking the first time Giordano’s, known for its deep-dish pizza, has hosted another restaurant brand within one of its locations.
For Oberweis, this will be their first scoop shop that does not also operate as a dairy store.

At the Scoop Shop, customers can order a variety of Oberweis’s ice cream flavors for dessert, along with special items inspired by local high schools—such as the Top Flyin’ Frostbite, inspired by Naperville Central High School’s Redhawks, which features strawberry ice cream with peanut butter cups.
The Huskie Dream, inspired by Naperville North, combines vanilla ice cream and orange sherbet and is finished with orange and blue sprinkles to match the school colors.
The Scoop Shop’s grand opening is planned for April 28 at 119 S. Main St., with the first 99 customers receiving an ice cream scoop for just 99 cents.
