After years of petitions, Trader Joe’s is finally opening a new store on Chicago’s far north side.
According to Block Club Chicago, the popular grocery store plans to open in the Lincoln Village Shopping Center, signing a lease in the shopping center located at 6199 N. Lincoln Ave., on the border of North Park and West Ridge.
However, an estimated opening date has not been announced, as it will take some time for the store to be ready.

Trader Joe’s continues Chicago expansion
Residents of the far north side have been waiting for a Trader Joe’s for years, even petitioning to open one at the former Baker’s Square location at Western and Touhy avenues, which has since been redeveloped into a strip mall.
Trader Joe’s currently operates six locations in the city, including River North, the Near North Side, Lincoln Park, North Center, the South Loop, and Hyde Park.
