Chicagoans planning a fall getaway have until tomorrow, Wednesday, September 30, 2026, to book Amtrak’s latest sale. The offer takes at least 25% off the Flex fare for eligible coach trips from October 14 through December 17, 2026.
That travel window leaves room for a quick escape or a longer break before the new year. Eligible train routes from Chicago include the Hiawatha, Wolverine, Borealis, California Zephyr, Empire Builder, Southwest Chief, City of New Orleans, Pere Marquette, and Lake Shore Limited.

- Blackout dates: November 11 and November 20–30, 2026. That means the sale does not cover Thanksgiving-week travel.
