It’s time to get into the holiday spirit, even if it is a little early. Around-the-clock Christmas music has already made its return to a local Chicago radio station. 93.9 LITE FM has started playing all-day Christmas music with hours of commercial-free holiday tunes.
The station has been hosting its traditional holiday music marathon for over 22 years, and now it’s back earlier than ever. Program director and afternoon show host, Mick Lee, said in a statement “The day after Halloween, listeners are ready to hear Christmas music on 93.9 LITE FM!” So get into the festive spirit this November.

In years prior, Christmas music started populating the airwaves in mid-November but this year, the Christmas cheer is starting up earlier than usual. Beginning yesterday at 4 PM, the station is dedicating its time to classic Christmas songs like Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You and Frank Sinatra’s Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.
Fans can listen on air at 93.9 LITE FM, on their website, or on the iHeartRadio app. Christmas music is a fun way to fuel the holiday spirit, and we’re all for this November changeup. Happy holidays!
