Ace Hotel’s special La Luna Mezcal dinner will take place on one night only next week.
On Tuesday, August 18, you can spend a remarkable evening at Ace Hotel for an expert-curated five-course dinner, as you’re serenaded with live music from an opera singer.
Ace Hotel is partnering once again with La Luna Mezcal to cultivate an evening for the memory books. Next week, the hotel will present the La Luna Dinner — an exquisite five-course meal that pairs staple flavors of Chicago with rare agave varietals on their Prairie Rooftop. The rooftop, which regularly hosts Fever’s enchanting outdoor candlelight concerts, will set the stage for a magnificent night filled with food, laughter, and music.
Lou Bank, a renowned expert in the field of agave spirits — and co-host of Agave Road Trip, an educational podcast on agave — will guide you through your night, leading you through the luscious mix of agave, terroir, and flavor profiles of La Luna Mezcal.
The night’s menu will go like this:
- mango & fennel
- dauphine & idiazabal
- cupreata cocktail
- beets, berries, salsa de semillas, quinoa
- caramelized onion financier
- cotija sweet breads
- tlatonile, black sesame, cherry manso sahuayo
- aged pork loin, fennel, black lime
- plum ensamble cocktail
- verdita + tequilana
- pineapple & jalapeno semifreddo
- cilantro granita, mint gel, lime + chili meringue
Meanwhile, Mexican singer, Edgar Ricaud will imbue the rooftop ambiance with captivating opera music worthy of a theater.
Once guests have finished their lions’ share, they will be invited to stick around for a few rounds of Lotería, a Mexican party game. This dinner won’t be one to forget. The event begins at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, August 18. Tickets cost $85, you can find them here.
