Earth Day is Tuesday, April 22, and it’s the perfect time to show your appreciation for the planet and give back.
Luckily for Chicagoans, there’s a ton of fun and affordable ways to do just that. From free wine tastings, to community cleanups, here’s your guide to all the fun things happening in Chicago this Earth Day!
“Raise a Glass, Plant a Tree” Fundraiser
This Earth Day, Four Entertainment Group (4EG) is teaming up with non-profit Plant With Purpose to make a difference.
For every drink purchased at a 4EG bar on Tuesday, April 22, a tree will be planted!
Participating bars include the following:

- Central Park Bar – 2924 N Central Park Ave.
- Easy Bar – 1944 W Division St.
- Estelle’s – 2013 W North Ave.
- Remedy – 1910 N Milwaukee Ave.

Earth Day Fundraiser and “Sips that Give” Kickoff at The Grillroom
The Grillroom is launching “Sips That Give” this Earth Day, a new initiative supporting eco-friendly organizations in and around Chicago.
Per the program, The Grillroom will offer its new cocktail “Bee Line” cocktail, a fruity and floral gin sour with fresh lemon juice, lavender bitters, and organic local honey. 10% of proceeds from every Sips That Give cocktail sold will go to environmental causes.
For one day only on Tuesday, April 22, The Grillroom will double its donation, donating 20% of sales to Bee Haven, a local organization working to establish and preserve pollinator habitats in Illinois.
Complimentary Earth Day Wine Tasting at Uvae
Uvae Kitchen & Wine Bar in Andersonville is celebrating Earth Day with a free wine tasting on Tuesday, April 22, from 6-8 p.m.
Hosted by Louis Glunz Wines, the tasting will highlight organic wine selections that are good for both the palate and the planet!
Uvae will also offer Happy Hour specials from 5-6:30 p.m. featuring $2 oysters, $2 shrimp cocktail, and $5 draft bubbles.
Earth Day Resource Fair at Dvorak Park
The Chicago Park District is offering residents a fun and engaging way to celebrate Earth Day while learning about environmental conservation.
On Saturday, April 12, from 12-3 p.m., Dvorak Park in Pilsen will host a resource fair alongside local environmental groups.
Attendees can explore sustainability practices like gardening, recycling, and native plant cultivation while connecting with organizations dedicated to protecting the planet.
The fair is free and open to all ages!

Earth Day Parks Clean Up
Every Earth Day, the Chicago Park District partners with Friends of the Parks for a citywide park cleanup.
On Saturday, April 26, join thousands of volunteers at your local park to collect trash and spread mulch, helping to protect and prepare Chicago’s green spaces for summer.

Forest Preserves Earth Day Celebration
Join the Forest Preserves of Cook County on Saturday, April 19, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm for a fun-filled Earth Day celebration at the Sauk Trail Woods nature preserve.
The all-ages event will feature hands-on crafts, interactive activities, and educational games, all designed to foster a love and appreciation for nature.

The Morton Arboretum is celebrating Earth Day with one of the largest plant sales in the Chicago region from Thursday, April 24 – Saturday, April 26.

BUILD Chicago is hosting the ultimate Earth Day celebration in Austin on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
