Planning a beachside getaway this winter? Windy City residents will soon have a new way to travel to warmer temperatures with Amtrak’s new direct route from Chicago to Miami.
The new train dubbed “The Floridian” combines the existing Capitol Limited and Silver Star routes and will make its first trip on November 10.
The limited-time route will reportedly take 47 hours and make stops along the way in Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Washington D.C., Tampa, and Orlando.
Customers opting for an affordable trip can select coach class with ample leg room and no middle seat.
For an elevated experience, riders can upgrade to first class and enjoy a private room, complimentary chef-prepared meals, priority boarding, and other luxury perks.
