If you’re looking for a new restaurant to try in Chicago, we often rely on “food experts.“
They certainly know their way around food. However, how often do you find yourself in a conversation where someone recommends a new spot they love, or asks if you’ve tried it?
Let’s be honest: we often turn to our friends for recommendations, and that’s where the Yelp community comes in.
Yelp’s 2026 “Top 100 Places to Eat“
Yelp recently released a list of the “Top 100 Places to Eat“ in the country for 2026, and three Chicago restaurants secured a spot. The 13th annual list, which highlights “the highest-reviewed restaurants, diners, fast-casual spots, food halls, and more,“ as determined by the Yelp community.
According to the organizers, the list was compiled by editors who identified businesses within the “restaurant“ category on Yelp and ranked them based on factors such as ratings, review volume, and community feedback.

The first Chicago restaurant featured on the list is Ciccio Mio, an Italian eatery located in River North. This intimate restaurant boasts a 4.7-star rating on Yelp, with reviewers praising its attentive staff, cozy atmosphere, and classic Italian dishes.
Un Amor, a Latin restaurant specializing in breakfast and brunch, came in at No. 96. Meanwhile, Trivoli Tavern, situated at Green St., ranked No. 98.
