Enjoy Riverwalk views with a glass of wine even when it’s freezing out!
The temperature in Chicago is dropping but that doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy the beautiful river. City Winery’s wine domes have returned for the fall season, Oct 16- Nov 30. These translucent, Bluetooth-enabled dining spots are the perfect way to take in Riverwalk views without freezing your tush off. [Feature photo: @itsbrendabusto]
These wine domes sit 2-8 people just steps above the river and are fitted with a heater, Bluetooth speaker, twinkling lights, and plush seating for maximum coziness. Guests can enjoy a menu of delicious wine and food while taking in the sights or enjoying City Winery’s many live performances. Wine dome sessions last two and half hours and are reservation-only. Sessions cost $85/person including a $25 non-refundable rental fee per person. There is also a $60 food and wine minimum that each guest must meet. Your wallet might hurt a little (or a lot), but for a very special occasion, this experience makes a great gift.
City Winery is an upscale wine, culinary, and live music venue. In addition to seasonal wine domes, the restaurant offers intimate live events, food and wine class, and private parties. City Winery has two locations in Chicago: the West Loop and on the Riverwalk between State and Dearborn. Those interested in reservations and private event bookings along the Riverwalk should email chicagoriverwalk@citywinery.com or book a reservation through Open Table.
