We happen to be ecstatic that winter is finally in the rearview. The air just feels different, and the city is becoming greener—the buds are sprouting, cherry blossoms are blooming, and tulip fields are bursting into color.
One place we are particularly eager to visit is the beloved Kuipers Family Farm. This year, the farm is celebrating its 25th anniversary by opening its Midwest Tulip Fest.
The festival will begin on April 17 and marks 25 years since the farm first opened—and this year, more than one million colorful tulips will be in bloom.
Celebrate Kuipers Family Farm’s 25th anniversary
Joe Kuipers, General Manager of Kuipers Family Farm:
We are so proud and happy to be celebrating 25 years and another spring with our guests.
Our farm has been a Chicagoland staple, and nothing makes us happier than welcoming back families that have been coming here for years for spring and fall activities.
In addition to the beautiful tulips, the Midwest Tulip Fest features over 25 attractions at FunFarm, live band performances, food trucks, and a bar. The festival continues to add exciting new activities, including the “Spring Bloom Trail” and “Keys & Clucks Piano.”
Visitors can enjoy blooming flowers, create their own bouquet with U-Cut flowers to take home, participate in farm activities, and explore a variety of food and drink options.
Starting in 2026, Kuipers will introduce a “Tulips for Two” date night bundle for $84.99. This package includes two drink tickets, a photo session with an on-site photographer, entry to the Midwest Tulip Fest, and ten U-Cut blooms.
Pricing for the festival is as follows:
- Weekdays: $19.99 per person
- Weekends: $24.99 per person
- U-Cut Tulip Costs: $19.99 for a U-Cut Tulip Carrier and 10 blooms
