Skate, Shop, and Savor An All-New Light Show At The Village Of Rosemont This Winter

From ice skating to sky-diving, there’s something for everyone in Rosemont.

With everything on offer in the Windy City, a fair few of us can be found guilty of forgetting what lies beyond the epicenter of our thriving metropolis. Truth be told, Cook County, and the whole of Illinois for that matter, is ripe with wonderful city escapes. Some may require a long journey, and some just a 30-minute drive from the center of Chicago. One that falls into the latter category is the vibrant Village of Rosemont.

As the home of the Chicago Dogs baseball team and the Chicago Wolves ice hockey team many will already know that Rosemont is teeming with sporting activities and live spectacles. This winter, however, there’s so much more.

In the heart of Rosemont’s Parkway Bank Park Entertainment District, nestled between over 40 amazing restaurants and 17 luxury hotels, visitors will now find the extraordinary Chicago Wolves open-air ice rink.

From now through February 27th, guests can swirl and soar across the climate-controlled, NHL-sized rink. Skating is completely free for those with their own skates and just $8 to rent a pair onsite!

Even more exciting this year, however, is the debut season of Rosemont’s very own light festival. Taking place inside Rosemont’s Impact Field stadium this season, AMAZE Light Festival offers pure holiday magic featuring train rides, a holiday market, a candy shop, a Santa’s Workshop, and a “Thrill Hill” where friends and family can race down icy slopes on single and double tubes.

Seven theme-based illuminated worlds where guests can enjoy a variety of different adventures ranging from the company of elves in the North Pole to the smell of fresh pine at the Tree Farm.

But the attractions don’t stop there, within the 200,000 square-foot complex, you’ll find an array of events and experiences taking place this winter.

From comedy shows at Zanies Rosemont and theatrical spectacles at the Rosemont Theatre to bowling at Kings Dining & Entertainment and indoor skydiving at iFLY Rosemont, the opportunities are endless.

Of course, while some might come for the thrills and spectacles, many come to Rosemont for the award-winning Fashion Outlets of Chicago. Once voted The Best Factory Outlet Center in the World, the Fashion Outlets of Chicago is the only indoor, two-level outlet shopping center in the Midwest!

The unique shopper’s paradise is home to over 130 designer outlets, many of which are the only Midwest locations, as well as several brand-new additions including Bogner, Brioni, Yves Saint Laurent, Versace and Express!

Just minutes from the Chicago O’Hare International Airport, The Village of Rosemont is easily accessible from both Chicago and the suburbs via any of the area’s major highways. Parking is free with validation inside any of the restaurants or entertainment venues while convenient garage parking is also available.

Head out to the Village of Rosemont this holiday season and enjoy an all-encompassing weekend escape like no other!
