The official Chicago Market For Makers is returning this weekend. The much-anticipated event will take place from April 30 until May 1st with doors open at 11 AM and closing at 5 PM.
Specializing in curated wares, Market for Makers is a great chance to discover one-of-a-kind and small-batch items from entrepreneurial businesses in the area. With 90+ talented makers featured, the event specializes in home decor, fashion, art, design, food, and more, with plenty of eye-catching items to peruse.
Founder Natalie Christensen first started the market in 2015 and since then, it has grown into a key collaborative event that celebrates the local community. It’s also a standout way to shop a diverse collection of handmade items, independent art, boutique finds, and vintage treasures, with plenty of unique items that you can’t find anywhere else.
Some local markers include handmade concrete products from Alue Designs, pet brand Chicago Dog Co., high end luggage from J Panther Luggage Co. and bath products from Nude Acacia Beauty Bar and even more awesome finds!
Those looking to attend this weekend will enjoy hundreds of vendors, along with a DIY photo wall, and plenty of food and drinks, too. It’s a can’t miss annual experience for everyone. Hosted at the local Artifact Events venue, the space is set to be transformed into a friendly, inviting, and inclusive environment for shoppers and booth owners alike. At the event, everyone is welcome to connect, and hopefully champion each other’s work. Chicago isn’t their only market–there are also annual events in Miami and Jacksonville, FL.
They also host a Fall market in October and a holiday market in November. Find out more info here.
