Holiday shopping season is almost upon us, if you can believe it—and one iconic retailer is expanding its footprint in Chicagoland just in time for the rush.
Toys “R” Us just launched a new storefront less than one hour from Chicago.
Here’s a sneak peek at the new store.
Toys “R” Us makes a comeback at Yorktown Center mall
Toys “R” Us is now officially open at the Yorktown Center mall in suburban Lombard, Illinois, approximately a 45-minute drive from downtown Chicago.
“Did someone say core childhood memory?” wrote Yorktown Center in an Instagram post.
While the mall location features a smaller layout than what shoppers may remember from growing up, there’s still no shortage of fun merchandise to explore.
One Facebook user who visited the location described it as “like Toys ‘R’ Us and KB Toys had a baby.”
Guests can expect to shop all their favorite classic toy brands like Barbie, Hot Wheels and Pokémon, plus an array of plush toys, board games, and much more.
So whether you’re shopping for a little loved one this holiday season, or just looking to take a walk down memory lane, be sure to head to Yorktown Center and see what the new Toys “R” Us is all about.
