If you were wondering why Chicago Bears coach Ben Johnson went topless in the locker room after a win against the Philadelphia Eagles, well, it’s because Chicago is hungry. That, and The Wiener’s Circle dared the coach to do so.
On October 22, The Wiener’s Circle asked the public, “Which is most likely to win Chicago more free hot dogs? A Bears win, including a…”, offering the options: a defensive or offensive lineman rushing for a touchdown, a pass to an offensive lineman, or a shirtless Ben Johnson.
In the social media poll, the public picked “shirtless Ben Johnson.”
After a four-game winning streak, we weren’t sure if we were ever going to see a bare-chested Ben Johnson. Yet, that all changed on Black Friday.
Yet a dominant win against the Eagles finally swayed Johnson into taking off his shirt. He even shouted his catchphrase, “Good! Better! Best! Never let it rest! Til your good gets better and your better gets best.”
The Wiener’s Circle shared a clip of the moment , saying, “Is this real life, or is the just fantasy?! Free hot dogs again Tuesday…”
They later changed their marquee, which now reads “We got a new Mayor Johnson.”
