The Windy City’s entertainment scene has long suffered from a lack of live magic—but that changes this month!
The Hand and The Eye, Chicago’s first-ever immersive magic theatre opens this month steps from the Magnificent Mile.
Here’s an inside look at the venue and what to expect.
Behind the curtain at The Hand and The Eye

Billed as a world-class destination constructed “by and for curious minds who love magic,” The Hand and The Eye will open its doors on Saturday, April 18.
The venue is the product of a $50 million investment and will cover a sprawling 36,000 square-feet of the historic McCormick Mansion, according to a release.
Visitors will enjoy an immersive experience from the moment they enter the venue. The interior design calls back to bygone eras of the gilded age and art nouveau.
Magic performers from around the globe will grace The Hand and The Eye’s showrooms, from the 30+ seat Coliseum theatre and to an intimate ten-seat bar.

Guests can also expect elevated dining and drinking options curated by Levy restaurants hospitality.
Menu highlights include a signature burger, bacon wrapped dates, hand-pulled burrata, and classic plates like Chicken Vesuvio and prime beef.
The beverage program spans six bars throughout the space, offering craft cocktails and an extensive wine list.

“We’re creating a singular experience of wonder, where memories are made and magic is shared. You become a part of the magic,” said The Hand and The Eye founder Glen Tullman.
“We’re investing in Chicago to bring the most unique magic experience in the world to life, and to play a role in reinvigorating the Magnificent Mile.”
