Because the worst day of mini-golf beats the best day of work.
We’ve had our eyes on an awesome new mini golf bar that’s been in the works for quite a while and now it is finally set to open. Taking residence inside a nearly 5,000 sq ft former garment manufacturing building in Wicker Park, The Big Mini Putt Club is Chicago’s first, dedicated indoor mini-golf course.
Designed and built by its owners Austin and Nick, the building has been completely transformed from a once empty space to a unique little getaway found at 1302 N Milwaukee Ave. The challenging but exhilarating 9-hole course promises to be the ideal spot to challenge your family, friends, and foes to a relaxing break from the daily grind.
Wall-to-wall foldable windows allow Big Mini Putt Club to open onto the street for fresh air and natural light during the warmer months whilst the bar will feature 12 carefully curated draft beers on tap, mixed drinks, wine on draft, and happy hour specials. Some drinks may or may not be golf puns so if that’s not your cup of tee you’ll have to green and bear it. All skill levels are invited down for some old-school fun and delicious drinks from this Friday we can’t wait!
Here are some stunning shots of the project and its transformation from plain to extraordinary.

Some will likely drive you crazy.
Fresh greens and a fresh breeze.
Every detail counts. No ifs or putts.
There may be some golf in class.
Green there, done that.
If you’re looking for a sign, this is it.
It all takes a lot of balls.
And some awesome decor!
But work is still to be done.
What a tee-rrific transformation!
Is it even mini-golf if there’s not a windmill?
Give it your best shot but remember, not all are created eagle.
By par the best news.
Let there be light!
Who’s your caddy?
Fore-get me nots.
Championship shirts are IN
