It is the women of Team USA who brought home the most medals!
In total, 113 Olympic medals were won throughout the games, making the USA the country that won the most medals, with China in second place, then Japan in third.
The men of Team USA won a total of 41 medals, 16 gold, 15 silver, and 10 bronze. The Mixed Team won 6, 2 bronze and 4 silver. As for the women, they won 66 medals total! With 23 gold, 22 silver, and 21 bronze, beating their previous record of 61 Olympic medals won at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Beyonce was absolutely right when she said that girls run the world!
