The 39th annual Taste of Lincoln Avenue returns tomorrow afternoon offering attendees the chance to take advantage of four fests in one.
Lincoln Avenue will be abuzz for the next three days between Fullerton and Wrightwood with an array of local food vendors, fine wine, live music, arts & crafts activities and a kids carnival.
Both local and international bands from varying musical genres are scheduled throughout the weekend including a Saturday night show by British Grammy Award-winning band and 80’s sensation A Flock of Seagulls.
The festival will also host “Wine on Lincoln” Wine Tasting on Friday from 5-9 pm and on Sunday from 1 to 3 pm and again from 4 to 7 pm providing guests with over 30 varieties of international wines for just $20.
On Saturday meanwhile, the festival will swap from wine to whiskey with “Whiskies on Lincoln – A Midwest Tasting Event” taking place from 3 to 5 pm or 6 to 8 pm.
Organized by Delilah’s Chicago, the 2019 Bar of the Year according to Icons of Whiskey, the event celebrates local distilleries with 16 different samples of the finest Midwestern whiskey.
Festival entry costs $10 and will go towards organizers Wrightwood Neighbors Association (WNA) to help host future community events in the Lincoln Park/DePaul neighborhood.
