
Chicago’s largest Latin music festival Sueños is back at Grant Park this Memorial Day Weekend, bringing two days of high-energy performances, top-notch food, and endless fun to the heart of the city.
Shakira, Peso Pluma to headline
This year’s festival includes headlining performances from global superstars Shakira and Peso Pluma, along with acts like Don Omar, Grupo Frontera, and more.
Sueños will also feature tons of fun attractions like rides, art installations, food and retail vendors, photo ops, and more.
Street Closures
Whether you’re heading to Sueños or just planning to drive through downtown this weekend, you’ll want to be aware of street closures around Grant Park.
According to the mayor’s office, the following throughways will be closed to traffic through the duration of the festival:
- Balbo from Columbus Drive to DuSable Lake Shore Drive – Wednesday, May 14 at 6 a.m.–Saturday, May 31 at 11:59 p.m.
- Columbus Drive from Roosevelt Road to Jackson – Thursday, May 22 at 7 p.m.– Monday, May 27 at 11:59 p.m.
- Balbo Drive from Columbus Drive to Michigan Avenue – Thursday, May 23 at 7 p.m.–Monday, May 26 at 11:59 p.m.
