Why Stitch Head is the perfect Halloween movie
Stitch Head is an upcoming animated film based on the beloved book series by Guy Bass, reimagining the classic Frankenstein story in the most whimsical and heartwarming way possible.
The film is set above the crooked rooftops of the village of Grubbers Nubbin, where a mad professor creates bizarre inventions and monstrous creations. However, once his experiments come to life, he quickly loses interest and leaves them to gather dust.
Among these creations is his very first masterpiece: a stitched-together boy known simply as Stitch Head.

While the professor dreams up new horrors to bring to life, Stitch Head is tasked with protecting the professor’s wildly inventive creations from suspicious townspeople of Grubber Nubbin. Thus, Stitch Head’s journey unfolds.
Blending gothic charm with heartfelt comedy, this family-friendly film brings a quirky twist to the Frankenstein legend.
Asa Butterfield: From ‘Sex Education’ To Voicing Stitch Head
Stitch Head features Asa Butterfield in the titular role as Stitch Head. Butterfield gained recognition for his breakout performance in Martin Scorsese’s Oscar-nominated kids’ fantasy Hugo. For which he won the 2012 Young Hollywood Award for “Breakthrough Performance.”
However, he truly rose to stardom in the Netflix comedy-drama series “Sex Education.” Butterfield played Otis Milburn, a socially awkward teenager who becomes an amateur sex therapist. Now he returns to his roots in Sittich Head, bringing the tender story to life.
It also boasts an impressive ensemble voice cast, including Alison Steadman, Rob Brydon, Fern Brady, Tia Bannon, and Jamali Maddix.
With a runtime of 91 minutes and a PG rating, Stitch Head is crafted as a family-friendly gateway to Gothic fun, similar to beloved Halloween movie favorites like Hotel Transylvania and Frankenweenie.
Surprisingly, as it turns out, the best Halloween movie is actually not about fear at all!
