PSL season has officially begun!
If you look at a calendar, September 21 marks the first official day of fall. But for some, true fall begins once pumpkin makes its welcome return to their daily diets. Well, folks, that day is today as java giant, Starbucks, has announced the return of its fall menu, including its signature Pumpkin Spice Latte!
On Tuesday, Starbucks made history with the earliest release of its fall menu to date. Last year, the cafe conglomerate launched its line of pumpkin products and other fall favorites on August 27. In 2020, their fall menu comes two days early to the United States and Canada. Are we complaining? Never!
In addition to their iconic Pumpkin Spice Latte, Starbucks’ fall menu will feature the return of its Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew. The beverage — a chilly, more caffeine-potent cousin of the PSL that features a seasonal cold brew under a layer of pumpkin cream foam sprinkled with pumpkin spice — will likely for some be an ample substitute until the weather starts to cool down.
Food wise, Starbucks has begun offering their seasonal baked goods, including their pumpkin cream cheese muffin and pumpkin scone.
Last week, Dunkin Donuts released their fall menu, which included a series of pumpkin-infused libations such as their chai tea latte their own Pumpkin Spice Latte, the mega PSL, as well some new bites like their apple cider donuts, maple sugar bacon breakfast sandwiches, and stuffed mini bagels.
