We don’t need to inform you that Chicago is home to some of the best museums and attractions in the world. However, visiting all of them can become quite expensive, especially if you want to see a special exhibition that requires an extra cost. This is why we appreciate museum free days, particularly at the Science and Industry Museum, the largest science museum in the Western Hemisphere.
Science and Industry Museum free days in June
Here are the Illinois Resident free days at Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry for June 2025:
- June 12, 2025
- June 19, 2025
Is the Spider-Man Exhibition free?
For Marvel fans, a new exhibit titled “Marvel’s Spider-Man: Beyond Amazing- The Exhibition” is making noise at the Museum of Science and Industry. However, the exhibit is an extra ticket.
It provides an immersive look at the iconic superhero, highlighting his evolution from early comic book editions to modern-day movie adaptations. Visitors can explore rare comics, interactive displays, life-size character statues, and authentic costumes and props from the Spider-Man cinematic universe.
Ticket prices are as follows:
- $22 on Friday, Sunday, and holidays
- $18 on Monday through Thursday (excluding holidays)
- VIP Pass: additional $10
Before you head to that exhibit, make sure you go on a Science and Industry Museum free day!
For active U.S. military personnel and veterans, Illinois POWs, Chicago firefighters, Chicago police officers, and Illinois teachers, museum admission is always free. However, a valid occupational ID must be provided when purchasing tickets at the venue.
