In the suburb of Robbins, Illinois, a special ceremony took place to rename a street after Wade, recognizing his contributions not only to basketball but also to his community.
The street, dedicated to the Hall of Famer who grew up in Robbins with his family, underwent a complete renaming rather than just the installation of an honorary street sign. The newly named street runs northeast to southwest through Robbins, extending from Francisco Avenue and Broadway Street to Pulaski Road near 144th Street, as reported by CBS News.
