Many of us are familiar with March Madness—the annual college basketball tournament featuring single-elimination games to determine the national champion.
However, have you ever heard of Malort Madness? The upcoming drinking event may even be more exciting.
Recess, a treasured sports bar in the West Loop, is hosting its very first Malort competition.
In true Chicago style, the bar will hold a cocktail playoff featuring eight Malort-based drinks to coincide with March Madness this year.
The competition will take place from March 15 to April 2, in partnership with Jeppson’s Malort, with new cocktail matchups every Thursday and Sunday (on March 20, 23, 27, 30, and the finale, along with a prize drawing, on Thursday, April 2).
Here’s how Malort Madness works
Guests can try the featured cocktail, vote at the bar, and watch as the bracket progresses, returning for the next round.
