A viral and beloved fried chicken restaurant has opened its doors in Chicago! Located at 2 N. Michigan Ave. Raising Cane’s now occupies the historic Montgomery Ward building. Covering 5,000 square-feet, the restaurant is decorated with Chicago specific graphics and sights. It’s Chicago’s first Raising Cane’s outpost and the second flagship restaurant in the U.S. (the first is Las Vegas). Plans for flagship stores in Miami and New York are also underway.
With over 20 locations in the Chicago suburbs, this marks downtown’s first taste of the raved about chicken chain. The menu is to the point, serving chicken fingers along with crinkle-cut french fries, coleslaw, and toast. Popular drink options include sweet tea and lemonade.
As for what makes the restaurant’s signature meal different from the rest? Well, that would be the secret-recipe Cane’s sauce. The Louisiana-based chicken chain also has a clear view of Cloud Gate if you’re so inclined to visit the iconic Chicago staple.
