While Chicago may have an abundance of waterfront spots to enjoy and top beaches to find respite from the summer sun, none of them offer the unlimited joy of spending the day at a waterpark.
Luckily for Chicagoans Illinois’ largest waterpark, Raging Waves will reopen for summer in just a few weeks celebrating its 17th year in business.
The public will once again be able to enjoy an abundance of aquatic adrenaline activities including 32 water slides, the 350,000-gallon wave pool, and the ¼ mile-long lazy river starting Saturday, June 1st.
For competitive thrill-seekers, Raging Waves last year welcomed the first Proslide RallyRACER™ in Illinois and one of three in the world. The six-lane mat racing water slide, named Aussie Mat Dash, invites up to 5 friends or family members to rocket down slides next to each other and see who is the fastest of the pack.
“We are thrilled to kick off our 17th season and invite families back to Raging Waves this summer,” said Randy Witt, Co-Owner of Raging Waves. “Offering guests the very best in family fun has always been at the forefront for our team at Raging Waves, and we cannot wait for guests to enjoy all that our waterpark has to offer!”
The expansive park spans over 58 acres just 45 minutes southwest of Chicago at 4000 N. Bridge St. in Yorkville. Nominated as one of the cleanest waterparks in the United States, and featuring several award-winning slides the park has grown and grown since opening in 2008 with 17 waterslides.
In addition to the 32 waterslides, lazy river, and wave pool found at Raging Waves, it also features three kiddie pool areas, 43 rentable private cabanas, and 11 different dining options.
