Nothing says summer in Chicago like ice cream—and this season one of the city’s favorite frozen treat shops is launching an exclusive menu in partnership with the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA).

Pretty Cool Ice Cream X CTA
Award-winning popsicle shop Pretty Cool Ice Cream in Logan Square and the CTA have announced a limited-time collection of pops inspired by Chicago’s various “L” lines.
The menu features 4 specialty flavors for the Red, Blue, Brown, and Orange lines:
- Red Line Strawberry Tres Leches – Tres Leches Cake ice cream dipped in a strawberry shell and finished with Red Line sprinkles.
- Blue Line Blue Moon – Blue Moon ice cream (a marshmallow-like flavor popular in the Midwest) encased in a vanilla shell and decorated with Blue Line sprinkles.
- Brown Line Cookies & Cream – Cookies & Cream ice cream dipped in a chocolate shell and finished with Brown Line sprinkles.
- Orange Line Mango Passionfruit – Mango passionfruit ice cream coated in an orange-flavored shell with Orange Line sprinkles.
The specialty menu will be available from July 3rd through August 31st, coinciding with National Ice Cream Month.
Proceeds from the collaboration will support the CTA’s annual Holiday Food Train. The annual drive delivers food baskets to families in need during the holiday season.
