
Chicago-born Pope Leo XIV will make a special virtual appearance in Chicago next month, during a special celebration honoring his papacy at Rate Field on Saturday, June 14.

According to an announcement from the Archdiocese of Chicago, the newly elected pontiff will greet Chicagoans and give a special message to the young people of the world, which will be broadcast at the event.
The celebration dubbed “Chicago Celebrates Pope Leo XIV” will feature a catholic mass, additional speakers, live music, and other programming.
Gates open at 12:30 p.m., with programming starting at 2:30 p.m. and Mass at 4 p.m.
Tickets sale begins Friday
Tickets for the celebration go on sale Friday, May 30, at 10 a.m. central time.
