Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille is bringing back its Flashback Friday tradition—and this year it’s doubled the number of people who can take part.
The chain, which traces its roots to a Houston butcher shop that opened in 1979, marks the anniversary each year by pricing two Friday lunch items at just 79 cents.
Perry’s Steakhouse doubles 79-cent lunch tradition across Chicago locations
The catch? This is dine-in only.
So, the first 200 guests in line at any Chicago-area Perry’s location on Friday, October 2 will receive a card redeemable for one of two dishes: the Famous Pork Chop Friday Lunch—a cured, slow-smoked, caramelized pork chop served with whipped potatoes, homemade applesauce, and freshly baked bread—or the Caramelized Prime Rib Steak Sandwich, a newer Friday menu addition served with French fries and horseradish cream, pecan-wood fired and caramelized to order.
There are 100 cards for each dish, distributed first-come, first-served starting when doors open at 10:30 a.m., and you must be 21 or older to participate.
Perry’s operates three locations in the Chicago market: Oak Brook (5 Oakbrook Center), Schaumburg (1780 E. Golf Road), and Vernon Hills (1050 N. Milwaukee Ave).
If you miss the window, both dishes remain on the regular Friday lunch menu, available from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. However, we’re sorry to say they will be at standard prices—$24 for Pork Chop Friday Lunch and $29 for the Caramelized Prime Rib Steak Sandwich
