The nonprofit animal shelter is hosting a foster-to-adopt event this weekend with more than a dozen dogs and cats in search of loving homes.
Here’s all the details.
Foster before you adopt
PAWS Chicago’s Time to Shine event will pair prospective pet owners with the dog or cat of their choice.
From their, potential adoptees will get to take home their new fluffy friend for a foster period, and see how the animal acclimates to its new environment.
If the adjustment period goes well, the fosterer can choose to go all-in on adoption!
Know before you go
PAWS Chicago’s Time to Shine: Foster-to-Adopt Event event is this Sunday, March 29, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Prospective pet owners must complete a pet compatibility survey and adoption application to secure their spot.
Fosterers who choose to move forward with adoption will be subject to standard PAWS adoption fees.
