Snowsuits And Shotskis Is Lincoln Park’s Answer To This Winter

There will be brrrs and beers at Snow Day Social.

The cold is clamping down on Chicago but at doesn’t mean you can’t have fun. Indoor drinking might be off the table but a revamped, heated outdoor patio down at Old Grounds Social is putting on a special snowy shindig to get us through the bleak winter months ahead.

Throughout December and January, Old Grounds Social will be rolling back the years to the times when coronavirus wasn’t on anybody’s mind. To the times when choosing what to wear or what to drink felt like the worst of our problems. Well, worry not as that won’t be an issue either. At this exciting event, all guests are encouraged to pull out their most vibrant ski-wear and wrap up warm as if heading down to the slopes. All staff will be slipping into their most vintage snow gear too ready to resist whatever Chicago throws at us.

On each weekend of winter, guests are invited to book a Snow Day Social table with their selected quarantine crew and enjoy shot skis and bottle service at this whimsical winter event. Equipped with their most retro winter regalia, guests can enjoy specialty cocktails and festive music all the while toasty warm in Old Grounds Social’s heated patio. Snow gear is designed to keep us warm in the most teeth-chattering of temperatures so what better way to enjoy a few drinks this winter than by covering ourselves head to toe in the cozy clothes we usually take to the slopes.

The event, known as Snow Day Social, will take place in Old Ground Social’s fully-transformed patio in Lincoln Park thanks to a retractable roof that opens up revealing the stars above. Throughout winter guests are invited to adjourn from their adult responsibilities and enjoy a cozy (and maybe boozy) night under the stars. As well as some iconic Instagram moments there will be bottle service packages, food, and several holiday specialty cocktails. DJ’s will be providing your favorite holiday tracks each weekend in a patio bar that has been fully revamped to ensure safe social distancing measures.

You and your quarantine crew can choose from several bottle service packages that include champagne, vodka, mixers, and shot skis. For $50 a person entry and drinks will guarantee the evenings essentials are covered so you can party like there’s snow tomorrow!

Grab your most retro ski-wear and head down for a winter bash like no other. More information can be found here.
