Ikea fans in Chicago have something to look forward to in 2026—the popular European home goods store is expanding its local footprint to a new location in the coming months!

Ikea coming to Gurnee Mills Mall
Ikea will open its third Chicagoland location at the north suburban Gurnee Mills Mall this year, according to a report from the Chicago Sun-Times.
The new location will feature a smaller format than Ikea’s existing stores in Bolingbrook and Schaumburg, offering a curated shopping experience in a 66,000 square-foot space.
The new storefront is reportedly part of a broader US expansion for the Sweden/Netherlands-based company, with additional stores planned for Los Angeles, Tulsa, and Fort Collins.
