Logan Square popsicle shop Pretty Cool Ice Cream recently announced a collaboration with the CTA on a limited edition line of “L” inspired treats.
Now, the pop shop is giving away the frozen snacks for free at select CTA locations on Sunday in celebration of National Ice Cream Day.
Chicagoans will have the chance to try one of the four flavors:
- The Red Line – Strawberry Tres Leches
- The Blue Line – Vanilla Blue Moon
- The Brown Line – Cookies n’ Cream
- The Orange Line – Mango Passionfruit
Rainbow Cone pop-up at the Museum of Ice Cream

Chicago’s own Rainbow Cone and the Museum of Ice Cream (MoIC) are hosting the ultimate National Ice Cream Day pop-up from July 18—19.
There will be a “sprinkle pool” ball pit installation, fun-filled photo ops, and $5 Rainbow Cones all day!
National Ice Cream Day at the Harry Potter Shop

The Harry Potter Shop Chicago is celebrating National Ice Cream Day with a collection of new ice cream flavors inspired by the four houses from the iconic book and movie series.
From July 19—26, guests can sample the magical new flavors for themself: Gryffindor Raspberry, Ravenclaw Blue Raspberry, Slytherin Pistachio, and Hufflepuff Banana Ripple.
For National Ice Cream Day on the 19th, the first 100 customers to visit the shop will receive a complimentary ice cream treat with their choice of toppings.
