This year, you can experience their captivating tree lights from the comfort of your car!
The holidays are going to be a bit different this year, but not even a pandemic can stop the seasonal tradition of holiday lights. This year, the Morton Arboretum is re-imagining their Tree Lights show with a safe and wonderful drive-through experience from November 20 – January 3, 2021! [Featured image: @kbachte2]
“See trees in a different light at a reimagined Illumination: Tree Lights at The Morton Arboretum,” the Arboretum wrote on its website. “Designed with your safety in mind, this year’s new driving experience (30–40 minutes long) features an unparalleled spectacle of color, light, and music you won’t experience anywhere else.”
Illumination will feature a reprise of the Arboretum’s signature displays, not withholding Crystal Promenade, Symphony Woods, and Woodland Wonder, along with five additional light installations along a two-mile long path.
“Immerse yourself in a captivating tunnel of lights, an awe-inspiring magical woodland filled with dazzling color and starlike light, and a landscape filled with thousands of lights dancing to a musical soundtrack, all from the warmth of your car.”
Tickets for this event go on pre-sale for members from October 1 – October 7 at the price of $37 for peak nights, and $27 for standard nights. For non-members, tickets will be available for purchase beginning October 8 at the price of $49 on peak night, and $39 on standard nights. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
For those who aren’t afraid of bracing the wintry night, the Chicago Botanical Garden will also be returning their immersive Lightscape experience on November 13.
