If you haven’t secured tickets to the Cubs vs. Cardinals game at Wrigley Field during the Fourth of July weekend, you might want to hold off. There’s another exciting baseball-themed event that was recently announced for America’s 250th birthday.
MLB is partnering with an Illinois movie theater to offer a unique way to celebrate Independence Day with the MLB Summer Drive-In presented by Ford.
McHenry Outdoor Theater is hosting an all-day MLB drive-in experience
For those who love the classic coming-of-age movie “The Sandlot,” the McHenry Outdoor Theater will screen it on the 4th of July for a perfect baseball-themed outing.
After the film finishes, the baseball fervor continues as the Chicago Cubs game will be broadcast on the big screen. The drive-in location will also feature family-friendly activities, including Ballpark Bites concessions, lawn games, a PLAY BALL presence, giveaways, and either a fireworks or drone show.
