The weather this holiday season has been unusually warm. While we’re typically accustomed to freezing temperatures, having temperate weather where we only need a light jacket is a nice welcome.
Fortunately, mild temperatures across the Chicago area are expected to continue. According to NBC Meteorologist Iisha Scott, a high temperature of 50 degrees is forecasted for Friday.

Mild temperatures are expected to continue into the weekend
High temperatures are expected to remain in the 40s and 50s, with some areas reaching the mid-50s and possibly near 60 on Sunday.
However, don’t get used to the mild weather. By Monday, temperatures are expected to drop by at least 20 degrees, with a high of only 24 and the possibility of snow.
According to NBC Chicago, more snow is also possible for New Year’s Eve on Wednesday, with temperatures in the 20s and 30s throughout next week.
