Metra holiday train rides are back starting this month and tickets go on sale on Monday, November 11.
The holiday trains will run on along six rail lines each Saturday from November 30 – December 21.
The Metra Electric Line holiday train will make a stop at the North Pole winter wonderland at Millennium Station. There, families can enjoy treats, holiday music, face painting, games, and other festive activities.
According to Metra, other downtown stations will be decorated throughout the holiday season and the holiday trains will also run during regular service in December.
“We hope our Holiday Trains help spread happiness and joy during the sometimes stressful holiday season,” said Metra CEO Jim Derwinski in a statement.
“These trains are a small token of our appreciation for our riders. We hope they make Metra part of their holiday tradition.”
Tickets start at $5 and must be purchased in advance. Metra anticipates tickets to sell out so be sure to get yours before they’re gone!
