Wander the zoo grounds after dark at this spooktacular event!
Feeling frighteningly festive this year? Be sure to mark your calendars for Adults Night Out: Howl-o-ween at the Lincoln Park Zoo, on October 27, where adults can (trick or) treat themselves to a hauntingly good time!
October is back to its best after a strange couple of years which featured many reimagined and virtual events. This Halloween there are plenty of ways to creep it real whether it’s pumpkin patches, haunted houses, or themed parties. One of our picks of the bunch, however, is going on a night out with the ghouls and goblins at the Lincoln Park Zoo.
On Thursday the zoo will launch its spookiest after-hours event of the year offering guests the chance to stroll the zoo with no kids and no crowds just their chosen beverage in hand, and plenty of space to stroll, sit, and sip with friends and family! The adults-only event welcomes guests aged 18 and over to enjoy unique animal chats, a live DJ, and multiple bars throughout the zoo all evening.
There will also be a haunted trail, a pumpkin walk, face painting, and a range of lawn games like foosball, Cornhole, giant Jenga, and giant Connect Four to enjoy with your accompanying late-night adventurers.
Costumes are also welcomed and encouraged so you and your friends or family can come in the Halloween spirit though full-face coverage will not be allowed within zoo grounds for the safety of all guests, staff, and animals.
Ever wonder what it would be like to explore Lincoln Park Zoo after the gates close? Here’s your chance. “Take in the beauty of the gardens while you wander paths with refreshment in hand—and savor fall in the best way possible” the zoo wrote on its website.
