It might still be February but the first signs of winter’s end are in sight. Lincoln Park Conservatory, one of Chicago’s oldest public gardens, will tomorrow kick off this year’s Spring Flower Show indicating that the arrival of significantly longer days, warmer weather, and blossoming flowers in the not-too-distant future.
‘Sweet Gnome Chicago’ will feature nearly 300 gnomes of varying sizes and materials take up residence in all of the Lincoln Park Conservatory display houses “with particular focus on the Show House”.
Vignettes of the whimsical creatures will be set amongst vibrant and gorgeous spring flowering shrubs, perennials, annuals, and bulbs including Foxy Foxtrot Tulips, Garden Party Lilies, Blueberry Thrill Violas, and hundreds of other blooming beauties.
According to the conservatory’s events calendar, visitors can attend “Sweet Gnome Chicago” from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through to Sunday, May 12th, 2024.
