The highly anticipated Lakeside Festival at Crystal Lake is making its grand return this week, just in time for 4th of July celebrations.
The historic Lakeside Festival returns this weekend
The family-friendly festival has an exciting lineup of activities and entertainment this year, featuring 14 bands performing on two outdoor stages, a delicious array of food options, exhilarating carnival rides, a festive beer garden, and appearances from beloved superhero characters. Families can also look forward to a charm-filled bike parade and a special ice cream social just for kids.
For younger festival-goers, an assortment of activities awaits: face painting will brighten their days, with daily sessions. On Friday at 1 p.m., children can enjoy a sweet ice cream social. The decorated bike parade will assemble at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, giving kids a chance to show off their creativity. Additionally, there will be photo opportunities with superheroes and the Chicago Wolves mascot available from noon to 3 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday.
Amid these festivities, there will be a cornhole tournament on Saturday. Warm-ups begin at 12:30 p.m., with the tournament kicking off at 1 p.m. Those who register will enjoy complimentary festival admission, receive two drink tickets, and have the chance to win cash prizes.
